About the roleWe are delighted to announce that we are on the lookout for an experienced HcD Technician to join our Central West NSW team based in Cobar, NSW.
The role will operate on an 8 days on 6 days off roster.
Accommodation and meals will be provided on site during rostered days on.Our Hypercharge units are incredible pieces of machinery which are used to load blast holes with explosive chemicals in an underground mining environment.
Our Hypercharge Technicians are highly skilled and mechanically minded individuals who are responsible for providing maintenance and reliability for these charge up systems (Hypercharge Units).This position has a wide range of accountabilities; therefore, the incumbent will have a sound knowledge of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical technical disciplines relating to fixed and mobile plant.What you will bringMinimum 3 years' experience maintaining mobile/fixed plant;Previous underground operating experience;Demonstrated experience working as an Auto Electrician, Fitter or Farm Machinery maintenance;Previous exposure to Orica systems and processes (desirable);Ability to effectively lead and train small groups (desirable);Effective communication skills, written and verbal;Sound knowledge of good operational practices and regulatory requirements;Sound knowledge of the mining industry (desirable);Ability to work unsupervised.Our commitment:Orica promotes and fosters a culture of inclusion and Equal Opportunity Employment everywhere we operate.
