Help us build the future and we'll help you build a rewarding and purposeful careerOur Geotechnical Engineering and Geosciences Group in Victoria has a great opportunity for a Technical Director level Hydrogeologist to join us in any of our Victorian Offices – Melbourne, Geelong, Mildura, Traralgon, or Albury-Wodonga.In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across a broad portfolio of projects, including exciting major projects in Victoria within a diverse and incredibly passionate geosciences group of over 40 people.You'll be part of our Groundwater Resources team, comprising 10 Hydrogeologists with a broad experience mix. The Groundwater Resources Team services internal and external clients to ensure the sustainable management of groundwater resources. We offer specialist technical advice and capability in assessing and analysing groundwater systems, designing and managing groundwater infrastructure, facilitating economic and social values of groundwater, while protecting its environmental values.We are involved in supporting numerous projects spanning major urban infrastructure projects, municipal water supply, environmental impacts assessment, groundwater resource management, mine depressurization and mine closure, groundwater modelling (numerical and analytical), geothermal, and managed aquifer recharge. We also support the related teams of Hydrogeologists within our Contamination Assessment and Remediation group and our Mining group.Hydrogeology as a technical service across GHD is truly global, and you'll have the opportunity to collaborate on projects across Australia, Asia Pacific, and beyond.Our vision is the sustainable management of groundwater, while maximizing its economic, social, and environmental values.What you will bring to the team:Relevant tertiary qualifications coupled with significant experience in Hydrogeology, ideally including within a consulting environment.Excellent communication skills including the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.A positive, collaborative, and forward-thinking mindset, focused on knowledge sharing and capacity building.Technical skills in groundwater resource investigations, hydrogeological conceptualization, groundwater impact assessments, and resource evaluation.Familiarity and experience with Victoria's groundwater framework, regulations, and policies would be ideal.Technical skills in geochemistry.Familiarity with spatial data analysis techniques and analytical modeling techniques.An ability to characterize a groundwater setting conceptually and identify risks and data gaps as they relate to specific developments.Interested?
