The opportunity
This strategic role will see you provide support and technical information to service teams, delivery of claims service, assist with auditing of claims files and reduce the number of claims.
Provide advice, training and coaching to service teams on technical aspects of claims
Effective communication networks established with both internal and external stakeholders
Respond to client requests in accordance with service standard and negotiate settlements of claims within authority levels
Perform more complex activities which may be beyond the competency or skill of a Case Manager
Interpreting and actioning medical and financial reports and managing and instructing investigations and implementing findings in terms of the overall strategy
Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines and policy changes and modifications
Your story so far
Must have experience in a similar role within the insurance industry
Knowledge and experience in Workers Compensation or CTP
Strong influencing skills & a passion for coaching and mentoring
Problem solving and analytical skills
Conflict resolution & negotiation skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Relevant tertiary and/or industry qualifications
Working knowledge of the legal process and protocols (desirable)
