AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. You will manage and coordinate complex, network build and scaling programs across multiple sites and regions. You will use your technical acumen to identify and drive innovative solutions and deliver results for the customers.
The Data Centre TIPM is ultimately responsible for oversight and review of all disciplines including program management, procurement, passive and active network infrastructures. A fundamental understanding of these systems is required, as the individual will be expected to identify areas for improvement as well as act on data provided from other teams and/or organizations. Ideal candidates will have a track record of serving as a leader and possess the ability to design, develop and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges. This role requires the ability to lead multi-disciplinary, geographically diverse, teams along with providing individual contribution. The TIPM will work closely with both Infrastructure and Networking TIPMs as well as other partner stakeholders to reduce potential knowledge gaps for new region deployments. Conducted by providing data for variable cabling cost, project timelines, rack split and layout inputs, and fibre pathways and overview. The TIPM will work directly with the technical SMEs to provide callouts on both the infrastructure design reviews, and on the Networking Integrated Design to validate that what is delivered meets and/or exceeds required standards. The TIPM will document and present relevant lesson learned or post mortem items for each project to networking or infrastructure to have continual data driven improvements within the AWS organization.
If you are passionate about the Customer Experience; you think big; and you want to contribute to the operational excellence of Amazon data centres then this may be the challenge you've been looking for!
This role will be based out of a corporate office and remote sites, international and domestic travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
