This requires all team members to have a clear understanding and appreciation of both retail and business lending policy as well as experience in both consumer and commercial credit.Impact and Contribution:Reporting to the Head of Risk Private Bank, this role will see you leading a team of Credit Risk Executives making prudent credit decisions. The Private Banking Credit Risk team is responsible for the provision of all aspects of credit services including advisory, credit decisions and recommendation of applications beyond delegated authority for Private Bank clients across all industries nationwide.The objective of this role is to ensure all team members are fully engaged and committed to delivering excellence in customer service through effective communication.You will be required to;Exercise a delegation of up to $30m for both consumer and commercial credit exposures.Develop and implement reporting, workflow and productivity management tools.Monitoring and oversight credit decisions, risk reporting to senior leadership, interpretation of policy, operational risk and compliance, delivery of training and guidance, formal and ad-hoc project work, and effective contribution to internal and external audits.Your Responsibilities:Discuss work priority in meetings to Team MembersEnsure the team completes quality and responsible lending credit risk decisions across both consumer and commercial credit exposures within the regulatory framework and in line with the Risk Appetite and Group Risk framework of the organisation whilst efficiently and effectively working to optimise credit decisioning processes and turnaround times.Effective use of hindsight application reviews with data within the team focusing on improving individuals' application quality and performanceDecision both consumer and commercial credit applications, exercising sound commercial and consumer judgment while operating within the parameters of your personal delegation of up to $30m and within the Risk Appetite.Effective use of all resources available within COO to achieve optimum team results.Drive and deliver continuous improvement within the team to simplify our business and to improve outcomes for our customers.Support group sponsored projects for implementation ensuring the team are engaged, motivated and capable.Demonstrate enthusiasm, resilience and ethical behaviour and has the ability to positively influence their colleagues with strong skills in teamwork.Role Model agile and collaborative ways of workingRole model Leadership behaviours that encourage productive working relationships and a strong performance culture.Apply CBA's people management criteria to effectively manage such issues as occupational health and safety, recruiting, on boarding of new staff, creating development plans, quarterly reviews and PF&R's, providing feedback formally and informally to staff where required, carry out people discussions, when necessary, manage unscheduled absences and annual leave as per People and Culture policy and any other aspects applicable within HR guidelinesInternal and External Client/Customer ServiceWork collaboratively with all business partners in a transparent manner to deliver excellence in customer service.
