We have multiple opportunities for a Team Leader (Compliance) within the Environmental Services and Regulation (ESR) division of the Department of Environment, Science and Innovation.
In these positions, you will work closely with the Compliance Delivery Manager to lead a dedicated and professional team responsible for managing day-to-day planning, operation, and support to meet its objectives.
You will have responsibility for key deliverables while contributing to the implementation of environmental management and protection strategies and promoting compliance with environmental legislation, regulations, and policies.

Your work will certainly be challenging and contentious at times and will involve a healthy amount of detailed compliance inspections!

1.
Experience leading and working as part of a team to achieve operational deliverables in a regulatory service delivery environment.
2.
Proven ability to communicate with influence, to:
a.
Motivate, develop, and engage staff
b.
Lead negotiations to resolve complex matters and
c.
Manage stakeholders
3.
Understanding of (or the ability to rapidly acquire) contemporary environmental and regulatory legislation, trends, drivers, and approaches.
4.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability in rapidly changing contexts.
