The department provides workplace adjustments for applicants with disabilities.Transport services is a Group within the Department of Transport and Planning, and is responsible for delivering safe, reliable and accessible transport infrastructure and services to all Victorians.About the RoleThe Team Leader External Works reports to the Associate Director Scoping and Development and is responsible for managing the risks associated with third parties proposing to and conducting works on or near the regional transport network.The role will undertake these responsibilities by leading a team who build relationships within the development community which facilitates effective design development, construction supervision and handover of third party works on DTP assets.Position Outcomes / AccountabilitiesYou will lead a team who contribute to the collective DTP review process for third party projects proposed on the DTP network.You will maintain good working relationships within the development community of the Loddon Malley Hume region to facilitate efficient and professional project outcomes.Your team will work with third parties to ensure designs and proposed construction methodologies are consistent with DTP objectives.You will lead a team who supervise third party construction activities on the DTP network, ensuring compliance with approved designs and construction specifications, and complete asset handover processes that produce satisfactory asset outcomes.In line with Section 31A of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic) other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities.Key Selection CriteriaTo be successful in the role the ideal candidate will drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
