About the Position

An opportunity exists for a Swimming Pool Safety Compliance Officer in the Development Compliance (Pool Fencing) team. The position will provide technical and administrative support for pool compliance allegations, disputes and customer requests concerning compliance with the legislative requirements and regulations of the Pool Safety Standards, Planning Act, Building Act, Building Regulation and theMandatory Provisions.

This position requires the occupant to carry out a variety of pool safety compliance tasks, including, but not limited to the following;
Review of the relevant legislation, development approvals and plans as required
Carry out and document site inspections and compliance investigations
Prepare file notes/inspection reports, formal correspondence, notices and letters following the Development Compliance processes
Carry out enforcement action and manage the demands of the position, customers and high workload while maintaining a high level of customerand professionalism
Other duties that the supervisor or management may direct when required.
Requirements:
Good knowledge of the Pool Safety standards, Planning Act, Building Act and Building regulation
Experience with various systems relevant to the position, including all MS Office suites
Excellent level of documentation, written and verbal communication skills
Excellent level of workload management and prioritization due to the number of investigations associated with the position
Work productively in a team environment, good communication, negotiation and mediation skills.
Drivers Licence Class C Unrestricted and a WHS Licence General Construction (White Card)
