Join the team at SUVO Strategic Minerals. SUVO Strategic Minerals are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team based in Pittong, Victoria.
You will be responsible for:
Assemble and install new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems; Assist the Engineering Team in the design and improvement of mechanical equipment; Collect, analyse data and prepare diagrams and drawings; Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to in day-to-day tasks and finished work are within specifications, regulations and safety standards; Estimate material costs, quantities and machine requirements; Document maintenance activities and report any issues to supervisors; Organise, supervise inspection and maintenance of machines and plant; Oversee fitters to ensure mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assemblies are installed as per plans and designs; Perform and direct field tests; Select appropriate tools and equipment for specific tasks for projects; Undertake special projects as instructed by the Department Supervisor or Company Directors; Work both in a team environment and without supervision; Collaborate with other team members to optimise plant efficiency. To be considered you will need:
A qualification relevant to being a Mechanical Technician and at least two years of relevant post qualification employment experience OR At least 3 years of relevant employment experience as a Mechanical Technician. A remuneration package between $82,000 - $85,000 will be offered to the successful candidate. This is a full time position, an immediate start is available.
