The Head of Oversight & Monitoring plays a critical role in leading oversight and monitoring activities for third- and fourth-party service providers and clients across Equity Trustees' Corporate and Superannuation Trustee Services (CSTS) business. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Governance, Risk, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs, this role ensures best practices in compliance and risk management, driving process improvements to support the business's strong growth trajectory.

About the Role Lead the CSTS risk-based monitoring and oversight program in this important client facing role, while driving uplift in program quality and effectiveness.Member of the CSTS Governance Leadership Team.Proactively engage with CSTS' financial services clients (e.g., investment managers and promoters) and service providers (e.g., Administrators, Registries, Custodians) to improve client and member outcomes.Build and leverage strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams, the Board, clients, service providers and regulators (APRA, ASIC, AFCA).Manage and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a strong risk culture, a focus on positive client and member outcomes.Prepare high-quality reports for senior leadership, Boards and Committees, to provide assurance on oversight activities and address emerging issues.Drive process improvements, leveraging technology solutions to enhance efficiency and compliance.What You'll Need to Succeed Significant experience in managed funds, superannuation or elsewhere in the financial services industry.Expert knowledge of financial services industry regulations and regulatory standards.Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder engagement within complex, highly regulated environments.Proven ability to take a high-level brief or idea, work through ambiguity, and implement solutions to deliver favourable outcomes.Strong decision-making, negotiation, and communication skills, including Board reporting experience.A tertiary qualification in Law, Governance, Business, Finance or a related field, with membership in relevant professional associations.What we offer: A warm, open, and supportive culture.An attractive remuneration package, including reward and recognition programs.An employee wellness program, including discounted health insurance and an employee assistance program.A workplace volunteering and giving program to enable you to help others in the community.Discounted tax and estate planning services.16 weeks paid parental leave for the primary carer.Great central CBD location, modern office fit-out and end-of-trip facilities.Flexible/Hybrid working environment.About us - Trusted since 1888 Equity Trustees was established in 1888 and is now one of Australia's largest specialist trustee companies.
