Our success lies in working together, doing things differently and preparing for the future.We're looking for people who dream big and want to be part of creating meaningful change in our community.About the roleJoin our team as a Surveillance Officer responsible for monitoring contractors' works on Council Road networks, private developments, and future Council assets to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.What you will deliverSupervise civil and landscaping works for Council assets, ensuring adherence to standards and requirements.Manage Crossover/Driveway and Works Within Road Reserve Permits to maintain compliance.Conduct inspections of private infrastructure construction to ensure permit and plan compliance.Assist in asset management by recording data and maintaining infrastructure asset systems.Develop and maintain electronic surveillance records for accurate documentation and continuous improvement.Be involved in projects for State Government agencies, such as level Crossing Removal ProjectLXRP and Major Roads Projects Victoria MRPV.Review CCTV footage of installed Council drainage assets for monitoring and maintenance.Investigate and respond to stakeholder inquiries effectively and timely.What you will bring:Current drivers' licence is essential.Post-secondary training/qualifications relevant to the requirements of the position and knowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training.Experience in civil and/or landscape construction, applying relevant standards and practices.Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite and electronic surveillance systems.Sound time management abilities with proven autonomy and minimal supervision.Ability to develop innovative solutions and make informed decisions on construction issues.Why work with us?Activity based and hybrid work model.Opportunities to work on innovative and impactful projects that make a real difference to the community.Professional development opportunities, including training and education programs, and leadership development initiatives.A commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, with initiatives to reduce the Council's carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices in the community.A focus on work-life balance, with programs and initiatives designed to support employees' physical and mental well-being.Discover these benefits and how we support and value our employees throughout their career journey.
