Support Worker – Aged Care About the role We are looking for casual Hospitality Assistants for our residential home.
As a passionate and experienced Hospitality Assistant, you will work as a member of our large hospitality team.
Catering: You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of catering and presentation whilst handling, preparing and storing food, in addition to associated cleaning tasks.
Cleaning: You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleaning and excel in the presentation of residents' rooms and general areas.
Laundry Services: You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and delivery of residents' clothing.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with the catering service to meet residents' food requirements, including food preparation, storage, hygiene, distribution, and serving meals. Follow written protocols for special dietary requests. Assist with the preparation of the dining rooms. Work with the food safety plan and legislative guidelines. Maintain a high standard of cleaning in residents' rooms and all general areas. Adhere to infection control, manual handling, and WHS procedures. Maintain efficient and open communication. What you bring: Experience in basic food preparation preferred but not essential. Experience in micro-fibre cleaning preferred but not essential. Excellent customer service approach, friendly and bubbly personality. Effective time management skills and experience in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia, including those who display challenging behaviours, and knowledge of the Aged Care standards will be highly regarded.
