Support OfficerBendigo and Adelaide Bank, Sydney, AustraliaPosition Description: Settlements_Support Officer_102020.pdfYour new role with Bendigo Bank is just a few clicks away.As the Support Officer, you will be reporting to the Team Manager - Settlements and will be accountable for the accurate processing of finance settlements with stakeholders both internal and external (Solicitors, other financial institutions, agents etc). You will support the funding and drawdown of Third-Party Banking loans and accurately set up customer loan accounts and direct debit. In this role, you will prepare and ensure certifications are in order and monitor the accurate and timely settlement of customer loan accounts.As the Support Officer, you will continually work with the Team Manager and other team members to streamline processes to improve service, efficiencies, and reduction in cost - ensuring that all stakeholders have appropriate buy-in, and any change is via the agreed change control process.As our new Support Officer, you will bring the following skills:Experience and knowledge of loan securities, land titles and other forms of property legislation, stamp duty legislation and practices is highly desirable.Experience in a loan processing centre, security documentation, or conveyancer functions or similar field is also preferred.Excellent communication and relationship building skills.Proactive, innovative, and prepared to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional customer service.Demonstrated ability to work within tight time frames with the ability to prioritise.Able to work effectively in a team environment or autonomously.Highly accurate approach with strong attention to detail.Knowledge of the Consumer Credit Code and Banking Code of Practice is desirable.General understanding of loan securities.Ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner.Ability to prioritise, monitor, and organise workflows.Experience in mortgage paralegal, conveyancer functions, security documentation similar field is preferred; however, not essential - training is provided.We offer flexible work options that put our people first, including a hybrid model with a minimum of 2 days in the Ipswich Office each week.This role is a full-time, 12 month fixed term role, based at any of our head office locations.About Bendigo BankWith over 7,000 employees, we are Australia's fifth largest retail bank with a vision of our purpose - 'to feed into the prosperity of our customers and communities, not off it'.
