This position is in the Bureau of Administration, Global Operations, Strategy and Policy Directorate, Office of Policy Planning and Analysis (A/GO/SP/PPA).
The Office Director reports to the Managing Director for Strategy and Planning.
This position advises and supports all three A/GO Directorates and serves as a consultancy for the coordination, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of business analysis, policy, program planning, professional development, and customer experience.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience supporting offices/bureaus in an advisory capacity to improve program management and customer experience, while managing and coordinating processes related to overall management and strategic planning.Experience planning, directing, and analyzing an organization's support programs or related functions in accordance with broad program objectives in order to develop process improvements.Experience managing annual reports, metrics, and measurements used to document and prioritize business objectives and operational needs.Experience planning and assigning work to be accomplished, setting priorities for subordinates, and tailoring assignments based on the nature and complexity of work, working conditions, and employee training needs.There is no substitute for education for specialized experience for the GS-15 position.
In addition, the applicant's experience must also demonstrate that the candidate possesses the following qualities: Ability to assign, review, and supervise the work of others.Objectivity and fairness in judging people on their ability, and situations on the facts and circumstances.Ability to adjust to change, work pressures, or difficult situations without undue stress.Willingness to consider new ideas or divergent points of view.Capacity to "see the job through.
