Our Facilities Maintenance team provide planned and responsive maintenance services throughout New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania.
The Opportunity: We are seeking a motivated Supervisor to join our Facilities Maintenance team based in our Launceston office, servicing our Northern region.
As a Supervisor you will manage a portfolio of planned and responsive maintenance works from commencement to completion, including performing the initial scoping of works, scheduling and allocating works to trades, managing subcontractors, reviewing completed works to ensure compliance and everything in between.
This role is ideally suited to a candidate with domestic trade qualifications that wants to take the first steps towards a career in facilities management. In the role you will gain exposure to a diverse variety of projects and develop your skills in the administrative and management side of the industry, instead of being on the tools.
Standard working weeks are 40 hours Monday to Friday.
This is a fast-paced role, that involves travel to various sites throughout the region, with no two days being the same and is providing an essential service to the local community.
About You: The successful candidate will demonstrate a detailed understanding of the residential building industry and have experience working in a hands-on trade based role (previous experience in the facilities maintenance industry or a project supervisor role will be highly regarded).
With multiple projects on the go at any one time, you will thrive working in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail and be adept at managing multiple competing demands to ensure works are completed in line with set timeframes.
You will be a strong communicator (both written and verbal) and possess the people skills required to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Working closely with our operations team, subcontractors and clients, you will be an effective collaborator, whilst also being highly autonomous to manage works without direction or supervision.
All work is allocated and signed off via software, with a sound level of computer skills being required.
