The role The Supervisor in Business Services plays a pivotal role in supporting the management of client engagements, supporting the Manager with overseeing a team of accounting professionals, and delivering high-quality accounting services.
The primary purpose of this position is to effectively delegate workflow while providing guidance and support to team members.
The Supervisor ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and actively contributes to clients' business growth and success.
This role offers the opportunity for flexible working arrangements, with the possibility of being conducted at 0.8 FTE for the right candidate.

About You As the ideal candidate, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (mandatory).
A professional certification like Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA) or an equivalent qualification is preferred, but if you're eager to pursue this credential, we're here to support you.
Substantial experience in public practice accounting, particularly in business services, taxation and client management, with over 4+ years in public accounting or industry roles combined.
Proven experience in training, mentoring, and supervising less experienced team members, demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation regulations.
Proficiency in using accounting software and financial management systems, with hands-on experience in Xero, Xero Practice Management, and FYI Docs being advantageous.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and senior management.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and team responsibilities effectively.
An aptitude for both independent work and collaborative teamwork.
