About the Role The role is based at Goonyella Riverside Mine and offers an opportunity to join our high performing Maintenance Team.
In this role you will be responsible for: • Providing direct leadership to the CHPP and Fixed Plant Maintenance Teams • Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment • Oversee compliance with legislation, safety systems, maintenance standards and procedures • Delivery of the weekly asset management plan through which Maintenance and Production targets are achieved • Management of major shutdowns and outages on Fixed Plant Equipment • Managing and delivering the Fixed Plant Maintenance budget • Managing contractor compliance • Building capability within the team through development of Supervisors and Employees • Communication and engagement with all relevant stakeholders • Providing visible leadership, advice and support to site teams • Driving a continuous improvement mindset and delivering improvement initiatives • Role modelling the BHP Operating System (BOS) principles Your previous success in leading a large team and building a positive workplace culture will be paramount in setting you up for success.
About You About You • Motivated, engaged and supportive people leader; • Visible safety leader who develops and coaches your team • Proven frontline leadership experience leading teams to deliver high performance outcomes safely in a Maintenance or Mining background.
Experience working at a Superintendent level in the resources, energy or heavy industrial sectors will be highly regarded.
• Strong engagement, influencing and collaboration skills in order to achieve the high-level outcomes with your team.
