Gain valuable real life experience and skills to kick-start a career in the fast-growing and highly rewarding sector. As a student, you will be buddied up with a Disability Support Worker based in our Emerald Community Access program. You will have the opportunity to work alongside our disability support worker in supporting our customers in a variety of social experiences such as sport, arts and craft, dance and special activities to include trivia, discos, cooking, singing and day trips. Community hubs offer an exciting learning experience for students. The hubs offers an inclusive environment that provides our customers the opportunity for learning, friendship, growth and fun! About you Currently studying a Cert III in Individual Support or similar Ability to follow directions and work as an individual or as part of a team Social, friendly and easy going - great people skills is a must Compassionate nature Benefits Plenty of supervision and mentoring Join a supportive and fun team Free on-site parking Opportunity to apply for roles on completion of placement Career opportunities You will have the following to qualify for this role Hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children) A NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities) COVID-19 vaccinations (proof from MyGov) - 2 doses (Australian approved) Aged 18 years and over Open Driver's Licence (or on Green P's) Who we are?
