In particular, you will:Deliver course materials in seminars in on-campus and online modes of learning and teaching;Develop course materials in law, including the review and development of course material in collaboration with other academic and professional staff;Provide support and consultation to students;Supervise students completing honours research projects, postgraduate coursework projects, and postgraduate research projects;Take a significant role in research projects, including leadership of research teams where appropriate;Participate in and conduct research, publication and the generation of research income; andUndertake administrative functions connected with the courses in which you teach.What will help you succeedKey to your success in this role will be your commitment to teaching and research excellence, combined with your passion for legal practice and the law. You will be an effective team player, with a high level of initiative and superior communication skills. In addition, you will have:It is essential you hold a doctoral degree in law or a cognate discipline, and the degree of Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor or an equivalent degree.Demonstrated ability and willingness to teach in core law courses, ideally including one or more of Constitutional Law, Property Law, Civil Procedure, Criminal Law and Procedure, or Theories of Law.Demonstrated excellence in teaching, with a strong commitment to student success.A significant and sustained research track record in law, and demonstrated potential for research leadership.Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively, collaboratively and productively with staff and students from a diverse range of backgrounds.This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support our academics as we transform our research capabilities and teaching, and the School's reputation for producing quality research and legal professionals.
