ILSC & Greystone College Melbourne, part of the ILSC Education Group, is a private college located in the heart of CBD.
We provide English language training as well as vocational courses (VET) in Marketing, Project Management, and Business to international students living in Australia.
ILSC & Greystone College Melbourne seeks an enthusiastic Student Advisor to join our friendly and supportive team at our CBD campus.
This position is a varied and challenging role with plenty of opportunity for growth and development in the international education industry.
The Student Advisor role is responsible for a variety of functions, such as:
Student AdvisingSupporting students on-campus by advising on aspects such as cultural acclimatization and general academic issuesSupporting student accommodation requests (i.e., Homestay and student residence)Providing a special duty of care for under-age students with regular check-insPreparing for new student intake (ELICOS & VET)Facilitating academic and financial intervention and problem-solving (if required)Supporting agents by answering phone calls, responding to questions about current student status, and providing course informationActing as a point of contact for walk-in students, conducting school tours, and ensuring successful conversionFacilitating student extensionsIssuing Letter of Acceptance and COEs and working with the school's database systemOther ResponsibilitiesAnswering the phone, transferring calls, and taking messagesHelping students with questions and problems and/or leading them to the correct departmentUpdating PRISMS site with relevant student informationAssisting the manager & academic director with assigned tasksSupporting reception (if required)Attending general staff and team meetings and training sessions as assignedILSC & Greystone College Melbourne builds lives and careers through education at our campuses in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, as well as in Canada and India.

Selection Criteria:Experience working in an international college and/or schoolDemonstrated customer service skillsOutstanding organisational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent technical skills (database, Microsoft 365, PRISMS, etc.
)A passion for education and sensitivity to the cultural and language issues facing our overseas studentsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFluency in written and spoken English is a mustSecond language is a big plus (i.e., Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, Japanese)Work Hours:Full-time (38 hours per week), Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8 am to 8 pm.
This position is based at the Melbourne campus.
It does not have a working from home option.
