About the role The Family and Education Case Manager worker will work alongside Berry Street's Side by Side team, to engage with Aboriginal students and families in three identified primary schools within the Latrobe Shire.
About You Commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA's vision and purposeA tertiary qualification in Education, Social Work, Welfare or other related discipline and/or experience working with Schools and the Education sector is highly desirableExperience in working and engaging with Aboriginal families and childrenDemonstrated experience in child and family sectorUnderstanding of child development, and the impact trauma can have on a child's developmentAbility to work in a team and with key stakeholders particularly within school communitiesAbility to maintain records compliant with legislation and standards and data systems for reporting and planningEffective and culturally appropriate interpersonal skills e.g. active listening, empathy in all verbal and non-verbal communicationsRequirements: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain), and a Victorian Driver Licence.
