We are currently seeking applications for the role of Structural Steel Estimator.
In this role you would be responsible for tendering structural steel projects, as well as assisting the project management team in the delivery of awarded projects.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Preparation of trade packages including post tender correspondence and final negotiations with clients Complete take off of drawings Sourcing of additional suppliers where required and acquiring pricing for tender purposes Monitor pricing, new techniques and cost trends for development of cost projections Site visits during tender and negotiation phases Quoting and submission of variation works Detailed handovers to project management team Assistance with tender to construction reviews Work with the accounts team in budget preparation Previous experience (5+ years) as a Structural Steel estimator Ability to read, interpret and take off engineering drawings Computer proficiency Experience dealing with clients, from builders to general public enquiries Ability to develop good long term relationships with clients and suppliers Understanding of steel fabrication and erection methodologies Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, small team environment Strong attention to detail Ability to problem solve and work independently Ability to identify cost opportunities and risks OH&S knowledge and experience Knowledge of contract administration, legislation, regulations, codes and standards within the Construction and Manufacturing industry Trade or engineering experience is preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
