We are exclusively partnering with Tier 1 Mining Asset Owner who is seeking a proactive and hands-on Project Engineer who will work closely with the Project Manager and Construction Leads to plan and execute SMP works on sustaining capital projects across this complex mining operation. This is a client-side role, flying to a remote mine site in the Northern Territory on a 2/1 roster engagement.
Accountabilities:Supporting multiple projects and project managers concurrentlyDriving and coordinating projects from an engineering, cost, schedule, and quality perspectiveManage engineering partners through concept and detailed design phase, including document reviews, organising design reviews, responding to technical requests, and liaising with stakeholdersSupport construction teams by providing technical guidance in the field during execution activitiesEngage and foster relationships with internal (projects, operations, maintenance) and external (design consultants, construction contractors) stakeholder groupsAbout You:Tertiary qualification within mechanical engineeringProven experience in site engineering within the mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectorsAn SMP or materials handling projects backgroundDemonstrable project delivery experience and understanding of all projects deliverablesEffective written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skillsStakeholder engagement and management of contractors/EPCM'sThis position offers a genuine long-term opportunity to contribute to sustainable mining operations over the forthcoming years and work with seasoned project professionals.
