What you'll be doing: Our Commercial Acceleration Strategy team is a high performing team, with top talent, diverse backgrounds and broad Management Consulting experience. We are looking for a Strategy Analyst to help us in identifying opportunities to drive incremental revenue increases across the commercial part of the business.
You will support the development of the broader commercial strategy and transformation roadmap, to achieve our aspirations. You will focus on selected deep dives into these opportunities (i.e. special projects) as part of a 4-6 week sprints within Agile methodology. Projects could include optimising Revenue Management opportunities (e.g. inventory and price setting optimisation), as well as optimising how we deliver our value proposition to our customers. All our strategic projects are in collaboration with the relevant commercial functions and other teams within the Virgin Australia Group. You will be required to lead complex analysis to measure initiative effectiveness, and the provide insights to drive optimisation. You will work closely with relevant teams to augment commercial analytics to drive commercial outcomes.
In addition, this role will play a critical role in supporting the preparation of outputs to facilitate stakeholder management and decision making.
Key responsibilities: Support the workstream within special projects and selected deep-dives for value acceleration captureSupport the development of commercial strategy and transformationActively support the preparation for ELT/Board updatesProactively work with internal stakeholders across the commercial functions and across the VA GroupWork closely with the Finance, Network, Customer channels and Revenue Management teamsSupport the Senior Manager of Commercial Acceleration Strategy to identify and scope commercial opportunities, and lead the sizing of commercial benefits and investmentsSupport delivery and optimisation of initiatives as required, including tracking and measuring initiative effectivenessAbility to create complex models in Excel (strong knowledge of creating formulas in Excel is necessary)Who we're looking for: This is an incredible opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate, that's in a Consulting role and looking to move into an industry role. A Commercial Analyst would also enjoy this position. Someone highly analytical with strong stakeholder management skills Is highly desirable.
