Due to rapid growth within our organisation, we are looking for an experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist to be based at our Bunbury Head Office and support the business across Western Australia.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, including strategic sourcing and contractor management experience in mining categories.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing and procurement strategies to optimise spending, drive value, enhance supplier performance, and mitigate risks.
They will be required to participate in negotiations and contract preparation using structured processes, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives to create and strengthen supplier partnerships.

Responsibilities: Develop purchasing strategies, policies and guidelines, contracts, and commercial conditions into execution strategies for best-practice sourcing.Manage the end-to-end selection and tender process for large category groups and multiple smaller suppliers or sub-categories to support commercial and operational requirements.Participate in negotiating commercial and contractual terms and conditions to acquire goods and services according to operational requirements, seeking the best possible price, terms of execution and quality.Develop supplier partnerships and monitor performance using established KPIs, goals and scorecards, safety history, legislative requirements (i.e.
Modern Slavery compliance) and customer satisfaction metrics.Develop product speed-to-market strategies to deliver goods on a just-in-time basis while holding inventory in suppliers' facilities.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define products, quality, service requirements, and standards.Review, analyse and interpret legal and contractual terms, liaising with key stakeholders, including Legal Counsel.Ensure timely and professional service to internal stakeholders in preparing and evaluating bids, participating in negotiating with suppliers, and recommending to management for approvals.Develop and deliver presentations and programs for users to communicate purchasing policies, procedures and best practices.Develop value strategies by improving safety, service, quality and compliance outcomes that reduce risk and contribute to cost reductions.Identify and implement continuous improvements to procurement processes and practices to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.Support the list of preferred suppliers and contribute to new opportunities.Provide support, advice, and related considerations to assist internal stakeholders with supplier and contract management, procurement insights, and requirements for new initiatives.Provide insightful procurement reporting and dashboards to business stakeholders.Why pick MGM?
