This role is an exciting opportunity to deliver functional strategic strategies for suppl chain categories, execute category strategies, and drive regional leverage. The Strategic Sourcing Specialist, he role offers a chance to utilise your procurement and supplier relationship management capability related to distribution and supply chain categories to conduct market research, manage key supplier relationships, and implement procurement and supply chain strategies. What you'll do: As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist in Distribution and Supply Chain, your primary responsibility will be to deliver functional strategic strategies for categories. You will be instrumental in executing category strategies that drive regional leverage. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive market research to identify trends and opportunities in the distribution sourcing landscape. You will also manage relationships with key suppliers/vendors, fostering partnerships that lead to new business opportunities. Your expertise in project management will be crucial in implementing the distribution strategy. Furthermore, you will oversee supplier performance evaluation processes while ensuring alignment with the organisation's objectives.
Implement Supply Chain strategies across the region including goal setting and KPI's Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the Distribution sourcing landscape Manage relationships with key suppliers/vendors, fostering partnerships, new business opportunities and driving continuous improvement Project management and implementation of Distribution strategy Management of supplier performance evaluation and monitoring processes Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors, ensuring they align with the organisation's objectives and requirements Negotiate contracts with suppliers/vendors, optimising costs and quality Implement supplier performance evaluation and monitoring processes Drive efficiency and cost savings through effective strategic sourcing practices What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Strategic Sourcing Specialist of Distribution role brings a wealth of experience from a similar role within supply chain or distribution sourcing. You will posses extensive skills in managing supplier performance and building strong relationships. Your negotiation skills are well established, backed by a solid commercial aptitude. You have excellent analytical capability, are able to dissect complex data and make informed decisions. Your communication skills are clear and effective, enabling you to manage stakeholders efficiently. You have experience working in environments where strategic category management is a norm and is proficient with Source to Contract tools.
