Strategic Communications SpecialistStatement of WorkThe Strategic Communications Specialist will work jointly with the Director and will be responsible for leading and implementing the Australian Government's strategic communications strategy.This includes:Leading development and implementation of a Communication Strategy/Plan, which identifies objectives, success indicators, audiences (domestic, regional, bilateral and global), stakeholders, key messages, implementation timeline, measures of impact and risks.Using all relevant communications tools, including media, social media, and public diplomacy levers.Monitoring key opportunities for strategic messaging, including ministerial travel, incoming visits, regional meetings, and global forums.Providing technical communications advice, including on branding.Leading design of materials for the webpage.Regular engagement with relevant internal and whole-of-government stakeholders, to ensure consistency of messaging.Consultation with the relevant Program Managers and Designers.Drafting of public information (where gaps exist) on complex immigration and bilateral issues that are clear and concise for non-English speaking backgrounds.Drafting key products such as media releases, media backgrounders, remarks/speeches, TPs, social media content, etc.; andProposed Order Commencement DateSeptember 2024Proposed Order Term and/or Completion Date6 Months (initial)Options to extend12 months (18 months total)Security Clearance RequirementsMinimum NV1, NV2 preferredLocationACTDeliverablesCommunication Strategy/PlanSocial Media PlanMedia, Webpage, Public Diplomacy, and Public Information Products – ongoingOther deliverables as agreed with the DirectorCalleo is an equal opportunity employer and we encourage applications from all people including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.If you are interested in this role, please contact Kalpana on 0403 200 666 for more information.Alternatively, please send your resume to ****** to be considered for this role.
