About the Role The Strategic Asset Manager (SAM) oversees the comprehensive management and strategic development of $1.34 billion in fixed assets across Barwon Prison, Karreenga Annexe, and the Western Plains Correctional Centre. This role ensures the optimal operation, maintenance, and future growth of these critical correctional facilities, aligning with the Government's and Corrections Victoria's long-term goals. The SAM prepares and implements procedures to achieve and maintain Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF) maturity, ensuring full compliance with standards. This includes developing robust funding business cases, providing data-driven insights to executive leadership, and securing necessary funding for asset-related initiatives. Some of your duties will include: Strategic Asset Management Develop, implement, and continuously refine comprehensive asset management strategies that align with the Government's and Corrections Victoria's long-term goals and objectives. Conduct in-depth assessments of the asset portfolio to optimise resource utilisation, reduce operational costs, and enhance asset longevity.
