Job OverviewFull time, permanent roleGreat career progression opportunities with leader in Travel RetailFree parking20% discount across our entire Australian & New Zealand networkPaid Parental LeavePaid charity volunteering & wellbeing leaveWe are on the hunt for a passionate and enthusiastic retail leader to join our team as our new Store Manager for The Edit store in Cairns Airport at the Domestic Terminal.Bringing an exciting mix of local and well-known global brands, The Edit offers a range of the best in specialty gifting, clothing for the whole family and luggage to take it home in.In this role, you will take ownership of the daily management, working closely with our Area and Operations Managers, our Support teams, and our team on the ground at Cairns Airport.You will lead from the front ensuring that our team is engaged, supported, and trained to the highest standard, to provide unparalleled customer service.
You will ensure clear communication to ensure the day-to-day operational activities run smoothly.In this role you will:Lead from the front with a hands-on approachEnsure the team is trained effectively across customer service, product knowledge, inventory control, and merchandisingManage rosters (Airport location with extended trading hours)Ensure the site is clean and well maintained at all timesSolid skills in coaching and developing team membersWe're looking for someone with experience running the day-to-day activities in store, with strong leadership qualities and commercial acumen.Our ideal candidate will also demonstrate:Proven experience leading a team in a fast-paced environmentProven management experience within the retail industryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with rostering, inventory management, and trainingProactive approach and previous experience achieving KPI's and targetsAvailability to work across a 7-day rotating roster including early starts and late finishesAbout Lagardère AWPLLagardère AWPL is the Pacific region's largest and most experienced Travel Retail operator.
