Store Development and Maintenance Manager - Role Overview As Store Development and Maintenance Manager at Bean Squeeze you will be responsible for ensuring our stores remain visually appealing, fully functional, and aligned with our quality standards.
By coordinating tradespeople to carry out maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, you will play a vital role in maintaining a high-quality experience for both customers and staff.
You will lead the planning and execution of new store builds and renovations, working closely with external project managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the high standards that embody our 'Leave Happier' philosophy.
This is a full-time role based in Grovedale, Geelong.
Key Responsibilities Store Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance to keep stores clean, safe, and welcoming.Source and manage external tradespeople, including painters, carpenters, electricians, and general repair specialists, as needed.Track and log maintenance requests, managing work orders from initial request to completion.Oversee and inspect completed work to ensure quality and consistency with Bean Squeeze standards.Project Coordination for New Store Builds and Renovations: Serve as the point of contact between Bean Squeeze and external building project management teams.Collaborate with external project managers to establish clear timelines, budget expectations, and key project milestones.Conduct site visits during various project phases to monitor progress, ensure standards are met, and troubleshoot potential issues.Facilitate internal communications regarding project status, store impacts, and timelines, keeping all stakeholders informed.Vendor and Contract Management: Establish and maintain relationships with trusted vendors and contractors to streamline maintenance and renovation processes.Review and negotiate service contracts to ensure cost efficiency and service quality.Oversee invoicing, budgeting, and cost tracking for both maintenance and project management tasks.Quality Control and Standards Assurance: Conduct routine inspections across all stores to assess maintenance needs and ensure adherence to Bean Squeeze presentation standards.Implement consistent quality control processes, ensuring every detail—from the cleanliness of fixtures to the durability of repairs—supports an outstanding customer experience.Administrative and Reporting Duties: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, vendor contacts, project timelines, and budget reports.Prepare reports on maintenance and project status, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance and construction activities.Skills and Qualifications Experience in Project Management in a facilities or retail setting, with a background in overseeing maintenance tasks and store builds.Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with external vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in line with Bean Squeeze's values of quality, consistency, and a welcoming atmosphere.Proficiency in project management software and budgeting tools is a plus.Why Join Us?
