Location : Victoria or Canberra Contract Type : Full-time, 12-month contract (potential for extension)Security Clearance : Negative Vetting One About the Role : We are seeking an experienced Change Manager to lead the delivery and adoption of a critical capability within the Defence sector.
You will be responsible for driving change strategies and managing training programmes to ensure successful integration of this system across various Defence locations.
Key Responsibilities : Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate the smooth adoption of a new system within the Defence environment.
Lead and manage a team of training experts in developing and executing a comprehensive training plan, leveraging existing materials and resources.
Oversee the delivery of on-site training to primary users at key Defence locations, supporting the long-term adoption and effective use of the system.
Coordinate training activities at a central location to ensure trainers acquire the necessary knowledge of the system.
Assign and manage regionally based trainers, ensuring coverage across Brisbane, Canberra, and Adelaide, with travel to additional Defence sites as required.
Ensure the timely development and approval of the Training Plan, with trainers initially engaged full-time to provide face-to-face sessions and on-site user support.
Customise learning activities, environments, and materials for various audiences to optimise understanding and engagement.
Supervise practical training sessions, assisting learners to ensure effective use of the system and maximum learning outcomes.
Develop case studies and examples to enhance training effectiveness and provide ongoing on-site support to users as they become proficient with the system.
Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Business, Change Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in managing organisational change within complex or secure environments, preferably with IT system adoption or technology transformation.
Strong understanding of change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR) and experience in Defence or government sectors.
Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience coordinating and delivering large-scale training programmes, with a focus on practical, hands-on learning.
Familiarity with secure or regulated environments is preferred.
Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci) is highly desirable.
