About the role This is a 12-month fixed term contract. The Research Officer/Coordinator supports the Research and Analysis team through the dedicated provision of a range of research and administrative activities. The role contributes to a wide variety of research related activities undertaken by the research team, from initial analysis to design and analysis of recommendations and sharing of knowledge across the teams. The role also includes administrative responsibilities such as document management, project management support, diary management, meeting coordination and collating information for reports and other correspondence.
What you'll do Research Respond to internal requests for research and analysis, supporting analysts in the development of high-quality reports, value creation cases, presentations and related content Support the team in knowledge-sharing activities such as internal research events/showcases and external reports Support in driving research partnerships and 3rd party collaboration opportunities Conduct standard mapping exercises and translate data into meaningful insights to identify opportunities for standards development and business growth Collate insights from internal data sources and report on key insights Conduct qualitative research and manage surveys using Qualtrics As required, support other research and project management activities in the team Administration Scheduling and document management support for research activities Data entry support for the management of research dashboards Maintaining a calendar of all research activities and events Collate information for reports and other correspondence Ensure information needed for meetings is prepared well in advance Diary management and meeting coordination. Preparing meeting agendas, minute taking and capturing meeting actions Organising and providing support for team activities and events Prepare presentations/papers and provide graphics support including development of collateral and team updates About you Degree qualification in business, marketing or relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience relevant to the role Exceptional written communication skills are essential to provide expert advice and recommendations to senior stakeholders Excellent communication skills and proven capability in synthesising research findings as well as producing comprehensive reports Excellent graphic design and presentation skills High-level attention to detail, presentation layout and accuracy Strong analytical, research, data mining, data modelling and critical thinking skills Skilled in using MS Office applications (including Advanced Microsoft Excel) and analytical/visualisation methods Working knowledge of Power BI, Salesforce and understanding of project management methodologies is advantageous Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Experience preparing collating information, preparing correspondence and reports and taking minutes Experience formatting business documents and presentations Know-how or ability to learn tools such as Canva and Qualtrics Ability to use initiative, adaptability, flexibility and be able to work collaboratively is essential Culture & Benefits Standards Australia is proud to have been awarded the prestigious Employer of Choice Award for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.
