As a Sr. Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to join as a Department Subject Matter Expert (Dept. SME) of the team specialized to standardize operational processes. You will be responsible for designing and implementing best performing operation flow/control to JP Fulfillment Center network. You will identify opportunities in raising the bar, optimize existing process flow, import/export best practices, and manage operational standards across the network. You will analyze, define, design, and propose a new process, engage and collaborate with global and JP stakeholders in various business units, initiate and manage projects in scale, and deliver the best operation in the network.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesThe role requires the ability to deliver highest standards for your assigned process performance. On-hands analysis of metrics, data, and Gemba to find opportunity is required. Both future looking direction of how the process should be and attention to detail to design optimal process flow are required. Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders and with leadership and operations personnel to build consensus and to collaborate is required.
Some of the position's key responsibilities include:
Design and implement: Find opportunities to improve existing process, design optimal process flow, collaborate with stakeholders, and implement the new process to the network.Align and localize: Collaborate with global stakeholders to align to global initiatives and localize to JP operation. Share and implement JP best practice process flow/control to other regions in collaboration with the stakeholders.Change and standardize: Structure standard process and management procedures. Make innovation as a standard and develop a new innovation for the standard.Control and Sustain: Deliver the best standard to the network, monitor implementation, and take actions to enable members to deliver results based on the standard.Minimum Requirements- 3+ years of program or project management experience (cross-functional)
- Experience in using data and metrics to determine and drive innovation or tactics
- Experience owning strategy or tactics, planning through evaluation, and communicating with senior leadership
- Business level English or Japanese
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Master's degree, or MBA in business process, operation, engineering, organizational development, institutional design or related field
- 2+ years of process innovation experience
- Positive attitude towards contributing to an inclusive culture and working in diverse groups
