ABOUT IWCIWC is an Aboriginal community-controlled and multi-accredited health and wellbeing organisation that delivers services without discrimination to Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett.FIRST NATIONS PERSONS ARE ENCOURAGED TO IDENTIFY THEIR MOB IN THEIR RESUME OR COVER LETTERABOUT THE POSITION:IWC is seeking an accredited and registered Speech Therapist/Pathologist for our Allied Health Professional team who are involved in primary/clinical care services delivered by the IWC. This position is suitable for either an experienced Speech Therapist/Pathologist or a new graduate.DUTIES:Formal and informal assessment and treatment of children and adolescents.Collaboration with family and other stakeholders to develop individualised and family-centred treatment plans that incorporate a holistic view of the client.Managing a varied and complex clinical caseload independently and to a high standard.Participation in team meetings.PERSONAL SKILLS REQUIRED:High-level communication skills.Good health and physically fit.Reliable and organised.Sound problem-solving skills.Ability to work as part of a team.Genuine interest in people and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:New Grads are encouraged to apply! No previous experience is required.Knowledge of Health Assessments and emerging creative and innovative approaches to chronic disease treatment.Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively with clients, families and other organisations.Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous evaluation of service practices and quality improvement.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.KEY REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor/Master of Speech Pathology.Current professional registration or ability to obtain.A current driver's licence is essential or ability to obtain.A First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.A Blue Card (Working with Children Card QLD) or ability to obtain.A Federal Police Check or ability to obtain.IMPORTANT NOTE: No Card, No Start legislation means that the successful applicant will need to hold a valid blue card before they start work. IWC will cover the cost of this application for the successful candidate.SALARY PACKAGE:Your Salary Package is made up of the following:Salary Sacrifice Packaging is valued up to $15,990 per annum – adding up to $4,000 to your take-home pay.Meals and Entertainment Package up to $2,600 per annum.
