Overview

The Manager Space Planning supports the Director Merch Business Operations in delivering and executing market development strategies and effectively reflecting this across selections of all product ranges for Footwear, Apparel & Accessories in our stores.

This role is responsible for delivering a compelling in-store customer experience to maximize sales potential and achieve all key metrics. The role will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data and providing proposals and solutions to optimize Foot Locker's product assortment and store setup, ultimately ensuring optimal space usage for our product and increasing sales.

The role requires both analytical and strategic vision, strong communication skills, and innovative problem-solving skills that will support Foot Locker in having the right product assortment for our customer.
ResponsibilitiesSupport Director in evaluating and analyzing market needs and advise what will best support the business in sales growth.Actively apply the strategic Space Planning guidance through store projects in layout and setup to maximize sales opportunities.Work in close partnership with the Allocation team to support the execution of the Buyer's vision/strategy.Review weekly performance by style and category against plan and forecast.In-season SKU count control, to reduce inventory levels in store and optimize product storytelling in store.Communicate weekly with product team on issues where product and fixtures are out of balance.Track and report on store capacity.Deep dive into ROI of summary groups based on space & sales return, and provide detail for further optimization opportunities.Support in identifying market needs, missed opportunities, stock/sizing issues, and competitor's best practices.Leverage the strength and partnership with the FLAP Store Development team to partner on the necessary projects.Along with the Director, work with the global Space Planning teams to ensure synergistic strategies and sharing best practices.QualificationsBachelor Degree in Business/Marketing or equivalent.
Minimum of 4 – 7 years' experience in retail Space Planning or Allocation.Understands retail industry and differences market/country.Experience with process design and structuring is highly preferred.Strong analytical and conceptual skills: ability to draw conclusions from numerical data (sales, digital traffic) and derive strategies aiming at increasing overall profitability.Strong computer skills and experience with database management, content management is highly desirable.Superior communication skills and ability to influence; natural ability to engage others into buying into a vision or solution while keeping an open mind to others' opinions.Proactive communication, energy, and inspires trust.Strong level of autonomy and self-accountability; acquired ability to formulate solutions prior to escalating issues and keep sensitive of all risks and impacts of solutions.Able to work as part of a team and coordinate activities with other departments in an engaging way.Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines, and changing priorities.Excellent project management skills with hands-on attitude: ability to drive and manage projects from concept to roll-out execution.BenefitsA Flexible Hybrid Working environment.Yearly performance bonus.Excellent Staff Discounts on Foot Locker products – Nike, Adidas, ASICS and many more!Free undercover on-site parking.Access for you and your immediate family to our Employee Assistance Program.Free access to Wellhub.An inclusive and supportive team culture.
