Ongoing full-time vacancy. The Team Leader, Injury Management is accountable to the Manager, Injury Management Section for leading, planning and management of programs that are crucial for the effective allocation of work injury claims and resources. They are responsible for the education and scheduling of visits across the whole organisation, ensuring alignment with the organisation's Injury Management (IM) and Return to Work (RTW) priorities.
The position coordinates a cost effective, equitable claims management and review of compensation service for SAPOL ensuring legislative compliance with the Return To Work Act 2014, Additional Compensation under the Police Officers Award and other relevant legislation, SAPOL's Injury and Absence Management policies and the South Australian Public Sector Code of Practice for Crown self-Insured employers.
The role provides leadership and expertise into the development and implementation of SAPOL wide IM framework including innovative approaches to claims and compensation systems, practices, policies, and procedures. The role works in close partnership with managers, employees, and their representatives to deliver recovery and return to work outcomes, claims and compensation services, including consultancy, claim determinations, monitoring and approval of costs, negotiation and resolution of disputes.
Special Conditions The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check. The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent. Tertiary qualification or a relevant certification such as Personal Injury Management (Return to Work) or other relevant discipline. Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required. The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program. Abide by the standards in the Code of Ethics for the South Australian Public Sector (the Code). Salary ASO7 - $108,109 - $116,864 per annum.
