Do you have a strong enthusiasm for leadership, innovation, and food? We are looking for a Sous Chef to oversee our culinary operations and make sure that each dish meets our exacting standards while also pleasing our clients.
What You'll Be Doing:
Take Command from Head Chef: Follow the footsteps of the head chef and his aspects of food preparation, from planning menus to cooking and service style, ensuring every dish is a masterpiece. Innovate and Inspire: Create innovative new dishes while enhancing classic favourites to provide our visitors with a variety and enjoyable menu. Quality Assurance: Ensure that every bite of food is of the highest standard by approving and perfecting it before it leaves the kitchen. Team Leadership: Build a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and ongoing progress by learning and assisting the head chef and forwarding your knowledge by supervising the junior team members. Operational Oversight: Take care of kitchen inventory, repairs, and make sure all equipment is kept in excellent working condition. Safety and Standards: Always maintain all the kitchen hygiene and promote hygienic habits among team members and uphold safety, sanitation, and health requirements at all times. Collaboration and Communication:
Work Closely with Leadership: To guarantee smooth running and timely resolution of any problems, maintain continuous communication with the head chef. Team Coordination: Ensure that all tasks designated by the head chef are completed and assist head chef during busy hours or when he requires help. Skills You'll Bring to the Table:

Culinary Excellence: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following our menu guidelines and recipes, contributing to a memorable dining experience. Collaboration: Maintain clear communication between the kitchen and floor staff, fostering a harmonious workplace. Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and organization of supplies, ensuring proper labeling and hygiene. Cost Control: Responsible for all food and labour costings. Food Safety: Adhere to all hygienic food handling practices and maintain cleanliness in line with our restaurant standards. Equipment Maintenance: Use and care for kitchen equipment responsibly, reporting any issues promptly to keep everything running smoothly. Documentation: Complete shift paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Adaptability: Be ready to take on additional tasks as required, within the scope of your training and experience. What We're Looking For:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Sous Chef role. Qualifications: Commercial Cookery and Hospitality Management certification. Work Rights: Must have Australian work rights. Location: Welland, SA 5007
Remuneration: $74000-76000 per year – Full time plus superannuation 11.5%
