Charlie West Cafe is looking for experienced full-time Chef and Cook to join our friendly team due to our business expansion.Your Overall Responsibilities:Plan and select menuOrganise the preparation and cooking of dishes in the kitchen.Encourage and motivate fellow staff to take pride in their workMenu planning and estimating food costsMonthly special menu planning with consideration to seasonal quality and availability of productsDaily Duties:Supervise all staff working in the kitchen in procedures and presentation.Ongoing training of all kitchen staff.Monitor the standard of occupational health and safety practices within the kitchen.Stock control.Stock purchase in consultation with the owner.Monitor and supervise the correct storage and refrigeration of all meat and fresh productsCheck and maintain all kitchen equipment as necessaryDevelop good communication between management, kitchen staff, and front-of-house staffRequirements:Diploma in a relevant field for Chef and Certificate IV in cookery for CookAbility to work under pressure and independentlyAt least 1 year of work experience in a similar roleAttractive salary between $70K to $80K will be offered to suitable candidates.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearPhysical Setting:RestaurantEducation:Certificate I - IV (Preferred)Experience:Kitchen: 1 year (Preferred)Work Authorisation:Australia (Required)Location:Hindmarsh, SA 5007 (Preferred)Work Location: In personApplication Deadline: 24/11/2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
