About the Role: An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Social Worker within the Acute Inpatient Mental Health team.
As a Social Worker you will apply clinical experience, increasing clinical knowledge and professional competence to plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive and integrated services to the needs of clients of NALHN.
In this role you will work under limited direct supervision and may provide direction and support to less experience social workers, allied health assistants and students.
In this role you will rotate through a series of clinical services.
In this role you will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team and liaise directly with medical, nursing staff of NALHN and with other community agencies.
The overarching role is to provide a comprehensive holistic service to patients / consumers and their families, with matters that may impact upon their social and emotional wellbeing during their involvement with acute mental health services.
Social work interventions are informed by thorough assessments and enhance a person's potential to secure an appropriate care pathway and ensure patients / consumers are provided with access to appropriate, up-to-date resources and services to make informed decisions.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
