Vacancy: Permanent full-time
Location: North Queensland Kidney Transplant Service, Medical Service Group, Townsville
The purpose of this role is to deliver senior Social Work services within the North Queensland Kidney Transplant Service. This includes:
Delivering high quality evidenced based Social Work clinical services to patients/consumers within a highly functioning interprofessional team.Contribution to the advancement of quality Social Work services and optimal patient care, through provision of service development, quality improvement, and clinical education.Monitoring and reporting on work practices and outcomes, including initiating, planning and evaluating relevant quality and research initiatives.Providing supervision and training to less experienced (HP3) clinicians, students and to Allied Health Assistants (AHA's).Your contributions will be valued and impactful. Salary range: $128,169 to $137,918 p.a. Overseas qualified social work candidates require a 'certification of eligibility' letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership to the AASW. This evidence should be included with your application for consideration.This position can be supported to participate in CPD requirements to obtain formal accreditation with the Australian Association of Social Work as either an Accredited Social Worker or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.The position may be required to work across any of the sites/facilities within the Townsville Hospital & Health service based on current service needs and priorities.This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
