Due to an internal promotion, we have a SME Underwriter position available. You will analyse and underwrite new and renewal business, regularly interacting and facing the market, utilizing The Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework within delegated authority levels and ensuring a high-level service to customers.
Reporting to the SME Underwriting Manager, you will be part of a team that supports Zurich's broker partners through offering a high level of underwriting service and expertise, including driving a solution focused underwriting culture whilst ensuring a consistent adherence to Zurich's Underwriting guidelines and procedures. You'll be responsible for building strong relationships with the market and leveraging this to drive new business growth and feedback market insights to improve Zurich's proposition.

In order to be successful for the role, you will require the following:
ANZIIF Associate Insurance qualifications (preferable)
Experience in SME Packages (preferable)
Insurance knowledge of Underwriting SME business, relevant legislation and regulations governing General Insurance
Knowledge of quoting systems
Strong understanding of / and proven relationships across all broker networks
Strong business acumen / commercial mind-set
Deal management experience and sales closure skills
Ability to communicate and influence a broad set of stakeholders across various levels
