About the Position We are seeking an experienced Site Manager who is looking for an exciting challenge managing our new pallet business based in Morewell.
You will report into our General Manager, Operations and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Site focusing on safety, production and commercial viability.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position, initially managing a team of 5, with the opportunity to grow your team as the site goes from its infancy to business as usual.
You will oversee manage all aspects of the site including performance, efficiency, costs, maintenance, workforce relations, labour requirements, and WHSE compliance.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Oversee the daily management of the receival, dispatch, storage and manufacturing of pallet material and finished goods.Implement and manage the Morwell site operational plan.Ensure that average costs for production, and maintenance is in-line with current export costings and budget.Ensure customer specification requirements are met.Ensure the health and safety of everyone on site in accordance with WHS laws, and Pentarch policies & procedure.Implement a culture of safety, hazard identification, and risk control.Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program to minimise downtime.Manage day-to-day employment and industrial relations issues.Ensure that an effective staff structure is in place.To be successful in this role you will have: Significant experience in a similar management or senior operational role with a manufacturing setting is essential.A qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field is highly desirable.A proven track record of managing a high-risk production environment in a safe and compliant manner.A demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships and to effectively lead and influence team members.The ability to prioritise safety and promote a culture of safety amongst employees.Personal drive and focus on results and the continuous improvement of processes.Previous experience in managing a budget and capital planning as well as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is highly regarded.In return, we offer: A secure, permanent role with a competitive salary package and annual performance bonus.A one of a kind opportunity to manage a new site from infancy through to business as usual and be involved creating a positive culture and innovative workplace as we enter this new phase of the business.Opportunities to grow your current skills, knowledge, and career.An organisation which values our employees and has a strong focus on the safety of our team members.About Us Join our team and be part of a diversified group with over 30 years of experience leading the way in the forestry, agricultural, and permaculture industries.
