Outreach Case Worker - Kempsey Fixed Term until 30/06/2025 with possible extension Part-Time 60 hours per fortnight The Opportunity Working within a multidisciplinary team that provides support to Women & Children.
The Outreach Caseworker will be responsible for the assessment of the women and family's needs, establishing individual plans, processing referrals and the implementation of wrap around services, in addition providing professional and accountable case management services for all clients engaged with Samaritans Specialist Homelessness Service.
Samaritans Specialist Homelessness Service in a client-centred, collaborative way, will support the goals of ensuring that: Women and women with children at imminent risk of homelessness are identified and supported to remain safely in their existing housing, or to secure stable housing Women and women with children who are homeless are rapidly and safely re-housed Women and women with children who are in crisis are provided with safe and secure accommodation and supported to access stable housing Women and women with children who are re-housed after becoming homeless are supported to stay housed.

To be successful, you'll also have: Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or related disciplines, OR related experience with extensive background in working with women and families with mental health, drug and alcohol issues, and domestic violence.
Experience in Case Management practice and strengths-based approach Effective conflict resolution skills Demonstrated understanding of the complex needs of women and families facing homelessness and domestic violence Demonstrated commitment and ability to maintain confidentiality and accountability; including client records, team and organisational discussions Understanding of and commitment to the principles of Child Protection, WH&S, cultural diversity and ethical practice Proven ability to effectively and proactively network and liaise with government and nongovernment service providers Who we are?
