About the team The Applications Management and Support team is accountable for the support of a broad range of applications including Smartforms, Sharepoint and the ServiceNow platform. Working closely with our stakeholders, we deliver a range of services, including:
Sharepoint support and project delivery Application support, minor enhancements and bug fixes across a range of applications Ongoing management, support and development of the ServiceNow platform The CIO Group is an exciting, fast-paced team that drives the digital agenda for the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources. To be successful, you will:
Have a minimum of 3 years Sharepoint experience including Sharepoint 2016 (on premise) patching and maintenance Experience configuring Sharepoint Online (0365) using out of the box components will be well regarded Experience with Sharepoint Online 'modern' is an advantage SharePoint Development customisation capability using React and Front End Technologies is desirable Be able to manage competing priorities in a professional, responsive and reliable manner Have personal drive, sound judgement, discretion, integrity, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Deliver great service: work with our stakeholders to help deliver improved ICT services, in particular as they relate to Sharepoint be flexible and responsive to our clients' needs be pro-active and prepared to take ownership of work item Have excellent people skills: have strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build and sustain positive working relationships collaborate with peers to deliver shared outcomes and shared knowledge contribute to a positive and rewarding work environment in which different perspectives are encouraged and diversity is embraced be able to co-ordinate and negotiate outcomes with stakeholders facilitate discussions or workshops with stakeholders Be a continuous learner and participate in continuous improvement: participate in ensuring service delivery is continuously improved and innovated be able to learn from your experiences and find improved ways of working have good problem-solving skills and the ability to use research and analytical skills to understand complex issues, identify opportunities and implement effective solutions participate in change and building organisational capability What you will do As a Sharepoint Administrator you will:
Actively participate in the day to day management / sustainment and continuous improvement of our Sharepoint implementations. These support our intranet and document management systems. Work with the records management team to support the records management system Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders, including senior executive in relation to the support of our Sharepoint environments Develop and maintain support documentation including knowledge management and operational processes Work with our partners and internal stakeholders to onboard new assignments, including participating in the scoping incoming requests, process mapping and identifying process complexity. Provide support, including patching to our Sharepoint 2016 Assist in building and developing our internal support capability Some out of hours work may be required from time to time. There is no regular on-call work required. Eligibility To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
Notes A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette. 
The department does currently offer flexible work opportunities for many roles. This vacancy is ACT - Industry House based, although flexible or remote work arrangements may be considered. Please reach out to the contact officer to discuss this further.
