With over 200 Services in more than 100 communities, we positively impact around 45,000 lives a year.About the roleThe Service Manager is responsible for the management of allocated CYF services and provision of support to CYF state and operational management and contributes as an integral member of the Children, Youth and Families group and supports activities aligned with the strategic direction of and consistent with the mission and values of Churches of Christ in Queensland.You will be based in Mt Isa but will cover the Gulf, Cairns and the Cape.Your responsibility is to ensure the service meets client needs and operates in line with organisational and legislative requirements; promotes effective working relationships with funding bodies and key stakeholders, participates in the negotiation of contracts, funding arrangements and service agreements.Works sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children, young people, families and communities to provide culturally inclusive services and achieve sustainable outcomes within a culturally safe environment and collaboratively with communities to keep children and families safe and perform position responsibilities in accordance with the Sanctuary Model of Care framework.About youAre you a leader, with proven leadership and management skills with the capacity to deliver results, support the team/group business plans and work across organisational boundaries to achieve shared goals? Have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders, problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills, and demonstrated ability to manage challenges of change and innovation? With proven ability and willingness to support a culture of safety, legislative compliance, quality and continuous improvement.To be suitable for this position, your qualifications for the role will consist of:Qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or other related discipline.Applied knowledge of financial management systems and budgeting.Knowledge of the Sanctuary Model of Care.Experience in a management role in a social welfare context for three years.Experience in child protection work.Ability to identify business development opportunities, operating model requirements and customer experience.Pre-RequisitesCurrent driver's licence and willingness to travel intrastate periodically.National Police Certificate – or the ability to acquire.Working with Children (Blue Card) – or the ability to acquire.Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS) – or the ability to acquire - where the service and role provides care or support in a licensed care service.Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: Unconditional Love, Continual Innovation, Mutual Trust, Wise Stewardship and Safety.To applyIf you are interested in applying, please click the Apply Button.
