Seniors Community Support OfficerPart-time position - 26 hours per weekSupport older individuals experiencing or at risk of social isolationEngage in community development through various programs and workshopsPosition OverviewThe Seniors Community Support Officer plays a vital role in implementing the South Burnett Stronger Together program, which focuses on supporting older individuals at risk of social isolation. This dual role entails coordinating community support activities and providing information and referral services to enhance connections within the community.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and deliver regular social connection events and activities targeting older residents.Establish partnerships and engage with community groups to co-design workshops that address the needs of seniors.Provide assisted referrals to connect older individuals with necessary services and support.Monitor and report on program outcomes using the Results Based Accountability Framework.Candidate ProfileQualifications and/or experience in community development or a related sector.Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting.Experience in designing and facilitating workshops and community activities.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and the community.Additionally, candidates must hold a Working with Children Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and have a valid Queensland Open Driver's License.Salary & BenefitsThe position offers an attractive salary based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS) QCSCA Transitional Pay Equity Order, at Level 3 ($37.35 per hour) with opportunities for salary packaging.Applications close 1 November 2024.
