Senior Workforce Planner - Brisbane or Sydney MAYDAY Recruitment is seeking a Senior Workforce Planner to join a well-established insurance company and lead workforce planning, forecasting, and scheduling activities in Brisbane or Sydney CBD.
This role involves leading workforce forecasting, planning, and scheduling, analysing workforce trends, and creating strategies to optimize staffing levels, skills, and deployment.
The Senior Workforce Planner will work closely with HR, finance, department leaders, and senior management to ensure workforce planning aligns with business objectives and budgets, ultimately enhancing organizational performance.

Analyze workforce data, identify trends, and forecast staffing needs to optimize resource allocation. Build and maintain relationships with HR, finance, and department heads to ensure alignment of workforce initiatives with business objectives. Lead the creation of workforce forecasting models and scheduling frameworks for key teams. Identify skill gaps and create plans to address talent shortages or surpluses. Support recruitment planning by providing insights and recommendations. Ensure effective deployment of staff to optimize talent utilization across the organization. Monitor key workforce metrics, such as turnover rates and retention, to inform decisions. Continuously improve workforce planning processes for greater efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field (not essential). 3+ years of experience in workforce planning, scheduling, or operations coordination. Proficient with workforce management software and scheduling tools. Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. A proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
