The successful candidate will provide expert advice and analysis to Queensland Health's key stakeholders on the enterprise firewall environment and determine the current maturity levels and future requirements of the organisation.
Role responsibilities: Lead and implement following Gateways functions:Firewall Operations Gateways Frontline Service Firewalls Engineering Lead and manage implementation of new enterprise firewalls; working closely with project and BAU teams to transition new Gateways capability into operations. Ensure compliance and optimal performance of enterprise service levels by managing and performing the dissemination and implementation of policies, processes and standards for technical configuration of the enterprise infrastructure. Optimise costs of service delivery by designing and developing improvements in particular technology domains within the enterprise infrastructure. Provide high level research and advice regarding emerging technologies to enhance the effectiveness of system design, management and support. You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience: Demonstrated ability to participate in and/or lead a highly skilled technical team providing high-level technical direction, standardisation and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focused organisation. (SFIA Code: ARCH5) (NHS: Leading Change through People) Proven high level understanding and working knowledge of relevant technical domains (SFIA Code: TECH 5)Internet gateways and firewall services External Access solutions Enterprise Network, both Wide and Local Area; Wireless technologies Load balancing; Authentication, Access, and Authorisation technologies; DNS and DHCP; Demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual and problem management skills with a proven record in the assessment and evaluation of technical requirements within a complex information and communication technology environment.
