We have a new Senior Technical Business Analyst role available in our Delivery System team in Technology.
The opportunity: There are several key focus areas for our team: We're responsible for taking concepts or projects across Bupa and Bupa technology teams and aligning how we deliver them.
We look at improving and optimising processes, and the way the work flows and how it works across the systems we're using.
We provide insights and analysis, collecting tools and data and pulling that together, producing data driven insights and visualising that information.
We also manage how we life cycle and align our tools across our engineering products.
This role will partner closely with our Delivery & Engineering stakeholders to deliver high quality Technical and Business Analysis services to drive strategic outcomes for our Delivery System.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have: 5 years+ experience as a Senior Technical Business Analyst, eliciting and defining business and technical requirements; running, and managing workshops for requirement discovery and elicitation.
Experience in accessing and interrogating underlying sources systems – including database schemas and content, XML, CSV, and other flat file formats.
Experience in data modelling and analysis, experience with ETL tool such as SQL.
Skill in eliciting and defining requirements, i.e., epics, features, stories (which meet the 'INVEST' criteria), with clear acceptance criteria.
Strong technical skills.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract and can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane.
We offer hybrid work arrangements, so you'll have the flexibility to work from one of our offices in these locations or work from home.
How will I help?
You will add value by: Partnering closely with technology delivery and engineering leaders to develop a deep understanding of the Bupa Delivery ecosystem, the challenges, pain points and areas for opportunity.
Planning, running and managing workshops.
Working closely with cross-functional teams to develop clear and unambiguous product backlogs of work which deliver the outcomes needed by our business.
Developing technical and functional design documents, data flow interaction diagrams.
Working with the team to define epics, features and stories/tasks for the business initiative at pace.
Defining concise acceptance criteria which supports the delivery team and testers.
Working closely with the team to refine the backlog and ensure the team have a shared understanding of the content.
Developing a detailed roadmap of deliverables and milestones that target execution meeting OKR's and tactical and strategic goals (as required/project specific).
