As the Senior Strategic Land Services Officer, you will be working closely with staff, stakeholders, and the community.
You will be taking the lead in coordinating projects and activities focused on strategic planning, development, and reporting.
Your efforts will ensure that Western LLS delivers services that meet the needs of land managers, and align with landscape priorities and our Local Strategic Plan.
Your role will be a varied one, and you will be responsible for such tasks as: Coordinating quarterly reporting and providing strategic level reporting to the Western LLS Board.Oversight of strategic document development and reviews; and assisting in the development of the Annual Business Plans.Providing support to project staff in Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting, and Improvement (MERI) planning and evaluation.Procedure development and implementing concepts and ideas to drive improved service delivery.Pursuing opportunities to leverage additional funds and resources to deliver services in response to regional prioritiesSupporting planning and delivery integration across all business areasPromoting innovative business approaches across the businessAbout you Our ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience with the planning cycle, including the development of business plans and reporting to outcomesExperience in monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and improvement processesExcellent communication skills to engage, influence, and collaborate with people across a range of multi-disciplinary teams within the organisation and across the community including external partners, stakeholders, funding bodies, landholders, and other interest groupsAdvanced project management skills and the ability to lead projectsThe ability to promote and embrace change to assist the business to implement new systems for planning and delivery of programsThe capacity to understand legislation and policy as it relates to natural resource management, agriculture, biosecurity, and emergency management, as well as natural disaster emergency management operationsCurrent valid NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travelApplying for the role: If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply with a cover letter (max two pages) outlining your suitability and interest in this role, with your current resume.
